2010 The Year in Fashion

2010 has been an interesting year for fashion.  There was the 90′s revival which brought back old favorites such as Dr. Martens and babydoll dresses.    Tribal prints were huge and on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, so were neutrals.   Leopard print accessories made an appearance and military went mainstream with the skinny cargo.  There was lots of leather and lace and faux fur certainly proved that it wasn’t sooo last season by keeping us on our toes with fresh additions like the faux fur collar and animal inspired hats ala Spirithoods.  Can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2011 but first, here’s a look back at some fun fashion moments of 2010.

Shenae's style has definitely evolved and I'm loving it!

Nothing says sexy like an LBD - especially when it's leather!

Love the idea of mixing animal prints!

Her designs are fun, whimsical and so full of life.  She takes cues from the past like these jelly bracelets but still manages to make them fresh and exciting again.

Gina draws inspiration for her work from her love of the 70′s and 80′s as well as her surroundings. The Jules Smith line was born when she was living in St. Thomas with her husband, constantly surrounded by beauty.

“My collection pays homage to the iconic trends in fashion,” reflects Nigrelli. “One strong accessory, such as a dominant necklace, cuff or bold pair of earrings, completes a look that is timeless and effortlessly chic.”

When I’m feeling uninspired or fashionally challenged, I look to these ladies for inspiration.

Ashley Olsen has a style all her own.  Which isn’t easy to achieve when you’ve been blessed with your very own doppelganger.  Casual, cool and confident, she always leaves me wanting more.

Leighton Meester’s style exudes sex appeal but in a flirty, girly sort of way.  She often reminds me of an old movie star.  She has that whole understated glamour thing down pat.
