Embrace your inner bad ass by adding a little bit of hardware to your wardrobe. Snaps, buttons, grommets and spikes are embellishing everything from hats to jeans these days. Just be careful not to overdo it, one piece will deliver the statement. Make sure you tone down the rest of your ensemble too. For instance, pair the Current Elliott studded jeans below with a simple white tank and some black booties and you’re good to go!

Sound Off: Clementine Baltimore, MD
As some of you know, Baltimore happens to be my old stomping grounds, namely Northeast Baltimore, and even namelier, Hamilton. So I was more than pleased to find out that this area, which at one time was total yikesville, is up and coming. One of the many new and exciting places that’s moved in to the old ‘hood is Clementine. Aside from serving up awesome food at insanely reasonable prices (hello DC, take note!) they also happen to be a charcuterie. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the term, a charcuterie is a shop that makes their own prepared meats such as pates and sausages, (primarily pork) in house . The process dates back to the days before refrigeration, as a way to preserve meat. Still today, it’s the unique flavors derived from that preservation process that people can’t seem to get enough of.
They pride themselves on using the freshest ingredients so their menu changes daily but here is an example of some of the yumminess you’ll find on their dinner menu. In addition to the meats and other delicious carnivore options, there are a variety of vegetarian dishes on the menu as well. There is truly something for everyone!
It’s no frills, good food with an abundance of flavor and little unexpected touches thrown in. Our server was sweet, attentive, (although not obtrusive) and had a set of guns on her that could knock you into next Tuesday!
My friend and I stuffed our faces so hard that we didn’t leave room for dessert but seeing as how they have their own baker making fresh treats daily, something tells me it’s not to be missed. Next time, definitely…. To find out more about these sweet treats, check out their blog!
So the next time you’re in Bmore and you get a hankerin’ for something yummy, head on over to Clementine and I promise you won’t be disappointed!
